Write down a list of ten things you’re thankful for.
Okay so, no one did it. Seriously! Do it. Okay just close your eyes and use your fingers. It will take you all of 30 seconds, and it will change your entire day. DO IT.

Feel free to post them here!
A few weeks ago, I received an email from Kimberly, a bride whose wedding I shot a few years ago, asking if there was any chance I still had a copy of her wedding pics… they had had a house fire and lost EVERYTHING. I lost my breath when she told me. I cannot even imagine. My heart goes out to her and Marc so deeply.
Anyway, fortunately I do still have the pics, and I did really enjoy revisiting their wedding…
Kim & Marc, you guys are in my thoughts and prayers as you rebuild your house and home…
i feel all techie! i’m totally not. wordpress just tricked me into feeling like this with their user-friendly blogging dashboard. (at least i know!) anyway, i’m STOKED because i just figured out how to add an RSS feed!!! yeay! that means that instead of checking out my blog everyday (you know who you are) the RSS feed will tell you when I’ve updated! AWESOME. So, if you do not have an RSS feeder, you can get one from google.com/reader, bloglines.com, or newsgator.com and rejoice because of your new little trick!
p.s. yes i am aware that some of you have known how to use RSS for what years… that just means you are so much cooler than i am.
I finally caved and joined…… yes, you can now find me on twitter
Sometimes my friends ask me to do things for them. Sometimes they are easy. Sometimes they are… well… interesting:
“hi loveeeeeer
i have a huge favor to ask… i’m trying to decorate my apt… i have two pics from this summer in Paris that i was wondering if you could photoshop for me. I want the pic of the Eiffel tower in the back left corner of the picture (kind of big). Could you make it black and white too : ) I LOVE YOU!!!! talk to you soon.

My masterpiece, complete with a gondola and marbled sky… (Do they even allow gondolas on the Seine?)
I met Ashely this past Saturday morning while a few of my friends, Frank, and I were volunteering at the World Vision Storehouse up in the Bronx. I like never go up there… (you just take the 6 train all the way up). Then you get off and you are like where the heck am I? There are no numbered streets, no numbered avenues, no points of reference, nothing. And it was completely overcast so I couldn’t even tell where the sun was! (All the tricks I use to figure out where I am in Manhattan.) Luckily someone had directions…
Anyway, I actually had a wonderful time just sorting boxes. Okay sorting boxes of clothes wasn’t that glamorous, but I LOVE volunteering and working for something bigger than myself. Making a difference is so fulfilling. Random retail clothing stores had donated tons and tons of clothing, which we were sorting and sending out to various shelters, etc. We spent the day sorting, labeling, and packing the clothing, which in now ready to be shipped in people in need. I also had the best coffee of my life. Anyway, the point of this post is that Ashley works at Operation Exodus, a program for low-income inner-city children, and she asked me if I would like to volunteer to teach a photography class! So, next Friday, I will be heading back out of my little 20 block comfort radius of Columbus Circle to teach some inner-city high schoolers about photography!!!
My new laptop made it from Shanghi into the hands of my doorman in 43 hours and 46 minutes. holy crap. Could I even make it to Shanghi from the hands of my doorman in 43 hours and 46 minutes???
